In the first paragraph of the Organon Hahnemann says: “The physicians high and only mission is to heal the sick”.

It is NOT to construct theories.

In the second paragraph he writes: “The ideal of cure it should be rapid, gentle, permanent and based on easily comprehensible principles”.

Essentially, we need a method that can effectively heal the Patient and also generate consistent and reproducible results.

In the last 20 years, we have seen a division of homeopathic practice into classical/traditional and contemporary/modern homeopathy. The conventional side deals with symptoms and is focused on left-brain function and the modern side focuses more on the concepts, system and themes, which is more right sided thinking.

As a result of the divide, homeopaths who followed one or the other lost the other side completely, and many were confused as to which path to follow.

Over thirty-five years of clinical practice, Dr. Rajan Sankaran has found that the best solution is to utilize both sides equally.

Dr. Sankaran is strongly grounded in the foundations of traditional homeopathy and was a professor of the repertory for more than two decades (Symptom Approach). At the same time he pioneered the Sensation Method, which is a right-brained approach to cases and remedies (System Approach).

He strongly believes that the homeopath should use all the available methods and tools to choose the appropriate approach according to the patient.

If a homeopath can see the same case from multiple angles and come to the same point, we can be sure of our prescription. He calls this the Synergy Approach.

Synergy denotes the coming together of two or more things to create an effect that is much greater than the sum of the two. In homoeopathic practice, using two or more different approaches in tandem produces the best results.

When the areas of symptom and system are used corroboratively and synergistically with the genius, the view of the case and of the remedy is widened. This allows for the greatest understanding of what is to be cured in disease, and what is curative in a remedy.

In this seminar, Dr. Sankaran will address various topics including:
  • How to see various levels of experience in the patient;
  • How to use the approach according to levels of experience;
  • How to use Materia Medica and repertory in tandem;
  • How to dwell in the sensation or experience;
  • How to use different techniques in repertorization including the fingerprint approach and sectorial totalities;
  • How to use source information;
  • How to use complimentary healing methods (ex. meditation, music, diet);
  • How to follow-up long term;
  • How to choose the remedy and potency according to level and pathology;
  • How to treat difficult pathologies ;
  • How to treat children using Synergy;
  • How to sharpen skills of observation and case-taking;
  • How to use software to our advantage;
  • How to avoid pitfalls in case-taking and overcoming our prejudice;
  • How to identify the central and most important aspect of the case;
  • How to find the patterns and sensation;
  • How to translate all of the information gathered into remedy selection.
